A $5,000 reward has now been offered in the case of the 76-year-old man who went missing from Round Lake Park a week ago.
Police said that Dale F. Kropke, 76, of Round Lake Park, was last seen on March 4 at around 10:30 a.m. He was going to a medical appointment at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
Authorities described Kropke as a 76-year-old male white, 6-feet tall, 215 pounds, gray hair and blue eyes. He has a light complexion and uses a walker to assist him. Kropke drives a gold four-door 2010 Toyota Prius with license plate number BANI 1.
“It’s almost like he’s vanished. We’ve got to prepare ourselves for the worst, so I’m just praying and hoping that – first off – that he’s ok, but let’s face it, it might not be good,” Sean Kropke, Dale Kropke’s son, told WGN News.
Police have not found Kropke’s car. His credit cards and I-PASS transponder have not been used. Police, friends and volunteers have been conducting searches this past week with no results.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for any information that leads to his return. Anyone with information is asked to call the Round Lake Park Police Department at 847-270-9111.
