GoFundMe started for Woodstock firefighter in critical condition

Woodstock Fire/Rescue District Firefighter Dominick Koss

A GoFundMe page has been started to help raise money for a Woodstock firefighter who is currently in the hospital in critical condition with influenza B and pneumonia.

Woodstock Fire/Rescue District Firefighter Dominick Koss, who is only 22 years old, was admitted to Centegra Hospital-Huntley on March 15 with influenza B and pneumonia.

His condition quickly worsened upon receiving treatment. Dominick was admitted to the intensive care unit and listed in critical condition, according to the GoFundMe page.

“Though Dom has a strong showing of support from his friends and family, there is a tremendous amount of recovery awaiting him,” Matthew Gulli, a Woodstock firefighter who started the donation page, said.

“Dom chose a career in public service because he wanted to help people. Please join me in helping him and saying, “thank you.””

Donations can be made on the GoFundMe page that was started by Woodstock Fire/Rescue District Firefighter Matthew Gulli.
