Three people were injured, two critically, following a crash involving three vehicles on Friday in Crystal Lake.

Emergency crews responded at 6:45 a.m. to a crash at Randall Road and Alexandra Boulevard in Crystal Lake. Police found three vehicles involved with significant damage.

Authorities said that one of the vehicles involved was trying to turn north onto Randall Road from Alexandria Boulevard when it hit a southbound vehicle. The southbound vehicle then went into the northbound lanes where it was hit by a third vehicle.

The three drivers were all transported to the hospital. Two of them were in critical condition. The other driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

No passengers were in any of the cars. Randall Road was shutdown for several hours while police investigated.

No citations has been issued and no arrests have been made yet. The investigation is ongoing by the Crystal Lake Police Department Accident Investigation Team.
