A McHenry woman has been cited by police after she was involved in a crash with a school bus that was carrying a high school softball team.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded just before 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday to Fleming Road and Hidden Lane in unincorporated Woodstock for a report of a crash involving a school bus and midsize SUV.
Angela Cantrell, 62, of McHenry, was cited by police for failure to yield to the right of way at a T-intersection, the Northwest Herald reported.
The crash, which involved a Crystal Lake School District 47 and 155 bus, was carrying 17 people, including the Crystal Lake Central High School varsity softball team, a District 155 school official said.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office shutdown Fleming Road in both directions following the crash. One student suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
