Two Wisconsin men were arrested in Libertyville for driving a stolen vehicle and carrying a gun and drugs, police said.

Daniel D. Hoffmann, 28, of the 4500 block of Warner Drive in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, and Anthony J. Hoffmann, 27, of the 800 block of Wabash Street in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, are both facing a felony possession of a stolen vehicle charge. Daniel Hoffmann faces additional charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and two counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Libertyville police stopped a suspicious vehicle at 12:20 a.m. last Saturday in the 600 block of Crane Boulevard. Police said that they questioned the two brothers and both gave officers their identification.

Police soon discovered that the vehicle the two of them were driving was stolen out of Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Both men were then arrested.

A search of the vehicle revealed a gun, a syringe loaded with fluid, a plastic bag with pills, a grocery bag of 48 syringes and multiple items of drug paraphernalia, authorities said. The two men were processed at the Libertyville Police Department and transported to the Lake County Jail.
