Antioch motorcycle crash leaves Zion man with serious injuries

A 51-year-old Zion man was seriously injured after driving his motorcycle off the road and being ejected in Antioch Monday evening.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said that Lake County Sheriff’s deputies and the Antioch Fire Department responded at 7:37 p.m. Monday to the 43000 block of North Trevor Road in unincorporated Antioch for a report of a motorcycle crash.

Lake County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Christopher Covelli said that a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by a 51-year-old Zion man whose name has not been released, was driving southbound on Trevor Road. The motorcycle left the roadway and went into a wooded area for an unknown reason.

The driver was not wearing a helmet and was ejected from the motorcycle, Covelli said. The man was transported to St. Catherine’s Medical Center in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
