A Lyft driver, who didn’t have a concealed carry license, was arrested after Libertyville police found a loaded gun on him during a traffic stop last week.

The Libertyville Police Department said that Marco A. Raygoza, 33, of the 4900 block of West 23rd Place in Cicero, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

Police stopped the Lyft driver on June 2 near Milwaukee Avenue and Redtop Drive in Libertyville after officers saw that Raygoza’s car had only one working headlight. Police also said that Raygoza was driving on a suspended registration.

Raygoza, who had three passengers in the vehicle, told police that he had a loaded .45 caliber handgun concealed on him in his holster on his right hip. Authorities said that Raygoza had an Illinois Firearms Owners’ Identification (FOID) card but did not have a concealed carry license (CCL).
