A McHenry man and woman are in custody after police found them incapacitated and their two kids living in an uninhabitable home, the Northwest Herald reported.

McHenry Police were called on Sunday to a home in the 2000 block of Central Street in McHenry for a report of a person lying on the side of the road.

Authorities said that Nicole A. Vaxmonsky, 28, was found on the side of the road heavily intoxicated. She was transported to Centegra Hospital in McHenry.

Police officers went to her residence and found Michael J. Picard, 29, lying in vomit. He was transported to Centegra Hospital in McHenry. Officers also found the couple’s two kids, who are younger than 10 years old, unharmed inside the residence, according to the Northwest Herald.

McHenry city code enforcement authorities deemed the home uninhabitable until repairs are made. The house had mold in multiple rooms and in one room the ceiling had collapsed, the Herald reported.
