A 37-year-old Waukegan man is dead and another man and a woman were left injured after a shooting early Sunday morning, according to police.

The Waukegan Police Department was called at 12:18 a.m. Sunday to a shooting at Stretch’s Bar, 200 North Green Bay Road in Waukegan. Police officers found 37-year-old Waukegan man Parnell King who was shot and killed in the parking lot.

Two others were also shot during the shooting, Waukegan Police Chief Wayne Walles said on Monday. A female in her 20s and a man in his 30s, both from Waukegan, were treated at an area hospital and released after suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

Lake County Coroner Dr. Howard Cooper said on Monday that an autopsy performed on King showed that he died to injuries sustained from a gunshot. Routine toxicology results are pending.

“We have notified and been in close contact with his family and our deepest condolences go out to them,” Dr. Cooper added.
