U.S. Marshals and Lake County Sheriff’s deputies arrested “one of the most wanted fugitives in Wisconsin” on Monday in Waukegan on charges of sexual assault of a child.
59-year-old Terrance F. Williams was arrested Monday in the 1900 block of North Lewis Avenue in Waukegan, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Sgt. Gianni Giamberduca said that Williams was “one of the most wanted fugitives in Wisconsin.” He was wanted on a no bond failure to appear arrest warrant for sexual assault of a person under 12, repeated sexual assault of the same child, sexual assault of a person under 13, sexual assault exposing to a child and 4th degree sexual assault.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team and U.S. Marshals learned that Williams left Milwaukee, Wisconsin and obtained a new identity under a fake name. He was located and arrested by the warrants team, Lake County Sheriff K-9 Duke and U.S. Marshals.
Williams is being held in the Lake County Jail pending extradition to Wisconsin. Williams had been on the run since 2016 when he skipped out on appearing for his court trial for numerous sex crimes against multiple girls.
