A felon was arrested after police conducted a search warrant at his North Chicago home and found three handguns along with almost four pounds of marijuana.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force conducted a search warrant on July 19 at a home in the 1700 block of Lincoln Street in North Chicago.
The warrant was issued following a month-long investigation which ended with 47-year-old Willie Allen Jr. being arrested. Police said that Allen lives at the above address where the warrant was executed.
During the search, police seized three handguns and 1,750 grams of marijuana, which is almost four pounds.
Allen was charged with three counts of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of cannabis, which are all felonies.
Allen is being held in the Lake County Jail on a $75,000 bond. He is due in court next on August 15.
