A 19-year-old Carpentersville man was killed after driving his car off the road into a field in Huntley Saturday evening.
The Huntley Fire Protection District and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office was called at 7:09 p.m. to a report of a single-vehicle crash at 13403 Marengo Road in Huntley.
Emergency crews found Lilith R. Okopski, 19, of Carpentersville, in the car about 200 feet off the roadway into the field. He was pronounced dead at 7:38 p.m.
An autopsy has been scheduled in the McHenry County Coroner’s Office. The cause of the crash has not been released yet by investigators.
The crash remains under investigation by the Huntley Police Department, the McHenry County Accident Investigation Team and the McHenry County Coroner’s Office.
