A 5-year-old was flown by Flight For Life to the hospital and two others were injured after a two-vehicle crash near Union on Friday.

Emergency crews were called at 3:50 p.m. on Friday to a vehicle crash involving a 2001 Ford F-150 and a 2013 Toyota Sienna at Coral Road and Union Road in Coral Township, which is southeast of Marengo and south of Union.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office said that the Ford F-150 was driving eastbound on Coral Road when it did not stop at the stop sign and crashed into the Toyota, which was driving northbound.

Authorities said that a 32-year-old man from East Troy, Wisconsin, and a 5-year-old Marengo boy were in the Ford F-150. The 5-year-old boy was flown by Flight For Life to Rockford Memorial Hospital where he was listed in stable but guarded condition.

Authorities said that a 39-year-old Woodstock woman and a 12-month-old Woodstock girl were in the Toyota. They were both transported to Northwestern Huntley Hospital where they were listed in stable condition.

All occupants were wearing their seatbelts and airbags deployed in both vehicles. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, sheriff’s officials said.
