Bryan C. Reigart, 38, of Mahomet, Illinois, was killed early Sunday morning after being hit by a pickup truck and then by a car in Crystal Lake, the coroner said.

The Crystal Lake Police Department said that the Reigart was crossing Randall Road near Angela Lane at 12:36 a.m. when a Toyota Tacoma driving in the northbound lane struck him.

After Reigart had been struck by the pickup truck, he was struck again by a Dodge Charger that was also driving in the northbound lanes.

The driver of the Toyota was a 27-year-old Crystal Lake resident and the driver of the Dodge was a 54-year-old Crystal Lake resident, police said.

Reigart was identified Monday morning by the McHenry County Coroner, who said that he died from blunt force trauma to his head, chest and abdomen.

The crash remains under investigation by the Crystal Lake Accident Investigation Team and the McHenry County Coroner’s Office.
