A McHenry man has been charged in connection with his sister’s fatal drug overdose on August 31, police said.
Christopher C. Crimaldi, 41, of the 1900 block of North Orleans Street in McHenry, was charged with manufacturing/delivery of controlled substances, a class 1 felony, and seven counts of drug induced homicide, a class X felony.
The McHenry Police Department was called on August 31 to Crimaldi’s apartment where they found his sister, Heather Crimaldi, 45, unresponsive from an apparent drug overdose. She was later pronounced dead and Christopher Crimaldi was later arrested, police said.
According to an autopsy, Heather Crimaldi had cocaine, heroin and fentanyl in her system. McHenry police said that Christopher Crimaldi was charged after a thorough investigation but they did not elaborate on any other details of the case.
Christopher Crimaldi is scheduled to appear in court again on Friday morning. He remains held in the McHenry County Jail on a $1 million bond.
