Police are searching for a man who climbed through a McDonald’s drive-thru window in Cary and robbed the business of money early Monday morning.

The Cary Police Department was called at 2 a.m. on Monday to the McDonald’s, 678 Northwest Highway in Cary, for a robbery.

Cary Police Chief Patrick Finlon said that the suspect took an unknown amount of money from the register after climbing through the drive-thru window. He escaped by fleeing out of the same drive-thru window, Finlon added.

No weapon was implied or displayed and no one was hurt during the robbery. Police described the suspect as a white male in his early 20s, wearing a light colored cloth across his face, a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, tan colored tight pants and gray Chuck Taylor styled shoes.

The suspect also had a tattoo on his left index finger that looks like the number ‘1’. The robbery remains under investigation by the Cary Police Department.
