Two 19-year-old men and a 17-year-old boy were arrested after authorities said that they burglarized a home in Beach Park and then ran from police Thursday afternoon.
Thashawn S.C. Robinson, 19, of the 2000 block of Eshcol Avenue in Zion, Tyshawn King, 19, of the 37200 block of North Grandwood Drive in Gurnee, and a 17-year-old boy from Waukegan, were all charged with residential burglary, a class 1 felony.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about a burglary in progress at 2:15 p.m. Thursday at a residence in the 38700 block of North Sheridan Road in Beach Park.
Responding deputies learned the suspects fled just before they arrived. A search of the nearby area was conducted and deputies found the suspect vehicle at Sheridan Road and Crissy Avenue.
Lake County Sheriff Sgt. Christopher Covelli said that deputies tried stopping the vehicle but it quickly pulled into a subdivision where all three suspects fled. Sheriff’s deputies established a perimeter and they were taken into custody a short time later.
In addition to the burglary charge, Robinson, who was the driver of the getaway car, was also charged with theft under $500, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving on a suspended license and speeding 15-20 miles per hour over the posted limit.
King remains held in the Lake County Jail on a $35,000 bond and Robinson remains held in the Lake County Jail on a $50,000 bond. The 17-year-old juvenile, whose identity is not being released, was transported to the Hulse Juvenile Detention Facility in Vernon Hills.
