Hunter H. Grabowski, 23, of Lake Barrington.

A Lake Barrington man has been charged after detectives identified him as the suspect who stole property during several car burglaries, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said.

Hunter H. Grabowski, 23, of the 500 block of Beacon Drive in Lake Barrington, was charged with felony burglary.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office was called on December 14 to the 28200 block of Harbor Drive in Lake Barrington for a burglary to a vehicle where electronics were stolen. Detectives identified Grabowski as the suspect and an arrest warrant was issued for him. He was taken into custody a short time later.

Detectives also learned that Grabowski was responsible for several vehicle burglaries in the area.

“Grabowski already sold the electronics he took from the Lake Barrington car burglary, but additional property including a purse, and a new PlayStation 4, were recovered at Grabowski’s residence.  Detectives were able to retrieve the electronics already sold by Grabowski,” Lake County Sheriff Sgt. Christopher Covelli said.
