A man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after crashing his car all the way into the Workout Anytime building in Buffalo Grove Saturday morning.

The Buffalo Grove Fire Department and Buffalo Grove Police Department responded just before 10 a.m. Saturday to the Workout Anytime, 700 South Buffalo Grove Road, for a car that struck the building.

Emergency crews found a sedan that crashed through the building into the gym area. No one inside the building was injured but an elderly man, who was driving the vehicle, was transported as a precaution to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Despite the car driving all the way into the building, Village of Buffalo Grove officials said that there was no major structural damage and the gym remained opened.

“While building management has contacted a board-up company to enclose the damaged area, Workout Anytime will remain open for business,” village officials said.

Police did not say what caused the crash or if any citations were issued.
