A man and woman were arrested after police found almost 4 pounds of marijuana, two guns, ammunition and $5,000 in their vehicle during a traffic stop in Lake in the Hills.

Michael T. Pozsgay, 29, of Rolling Meadows, and Toni R. Josephson, 19, of Rolling Meadows, are facing charges of unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of cannabis, unlawful possession of a firearm without a FOID and unlawful possession of ammunition without a FOID.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office said that the Narcotics Task Force began an investigation into the couple, and on Wednesday arrested both of them during a traffic stop in Lake in the Hills. Police found 1,750 grams of cannabis, which is almost 4 pounds, two semi-automatic handguns with magazines and ammunition, and $5,237 in cash.

The marijuana has an estimated street value of $35,000, the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office said.

Pozsgay andย Josephson are scheduled to appear in court again on January 15. They both remain held in the McHenry County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
