The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding an Ingleside man wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a juvenile family member.

Barry A. Deacon, 34, of the 35600 block of North Greenleaf Avenue in Ingleside, has active warrants for two counts of criminal sexual assault, two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and two counts of failure of a sex offender to report a change of address.

Lake County Sheriff’s Sgt. Christopher Covelli said that police were notified in November that Deacon made sexual advances toward a family member, who was between the age of 13 and 16, he told Lake and McHenry County Scanner.

Detectives learned during the investigation that Deacon sexually assaulted the teen girl while she was visiting relatives at Deacon’s residence in Ingleside, Covelli said. Detectives tried locating Deacon but they believe he has since fled his residence to avoid arrest.
