Fire department divers and boats searched Dunns Lake Tuesday for a Fox Lake man who has been missing since early May, police said.

David M. Gilenna, 57, of the 0-100 block of Jamaica Colony Street in Fox Lake, was reported missing to the Fox Lake Police Department by family members on May 8.

Family members told police that they had not been able to contact Gilenna for over a week. Since May 8, Fox Lake police detectives have been attempting to locate the man without success.

On Tuesday, detectives requested fire department personnel to utilize sonar equipment to check the Dunns Lake inlet in case Gilenna fell into the water, the Fox Lake Police Department said.

The Dunns Lake inlet is near Gilenna’s residence which is east of State Park Road south of Grass Lake Road.
