A teenager was airlifted to the hospital by a Flight For Life helicopter Sunday evening after a rollover crash inside the Glacial Park Conservation Area in Ringwood.

The McHenry County Conservation District Police Department and the Richmond Township Fire Protection District responded around 7:15 p.m. to Glacial Park Conservation Area in Ringwood for a rollover crash with injuries.

The single-vehicle crash happened on a road near the Powers-Walker House at 6201 Harts Road. Two teenagers were exiting the park when the driver lost control of the vehicle and went off the road, Conservation District Chief of Police Laura King said.

The vehicle rolled over and ended up on its roof. One of the teens was flown by a Flight For Life helicopter to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with serious injuries. Police have not released an updated condition on the victim yet.

The other teen in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital, King said.

No other information was provided by police, who said that the investigation is ongoing by the Conservation District Police Department and the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

The Wonder Lake Fire Protection District assisted the Richmond Fire Protection District at the scene.
