A 42-year-old Arlington Heights man died Saturday after he crashed his motorcycle in Bull Valley, the McHenry County Coroner’s Office said.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District, Bull Valley Police Department and the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded around 11:45 p.m. Saturday to the 9800 block of Bull Valley Road for a report of a motorcycle crash with injuries.
The McHenry County Coroner’s Office said that Esteban Tellez, 42, of Arlington Heights, was pronounced dead after arriving at Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital by ambulance. Flight For Life was initially requested to the scene but cancelled, fire officials said.
Police said that the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved and Tellez was the only person on the motorcycle. Bull Valley Road was shutdown for several hours while accident investigators worked at the scene.
The crash occurred on the first curve in the road east of Fleming Road near Blackberry Lane. Authorities have not released any additional information as to the cause of the crash.
