Missing 35-year-old Gurnee woman found safe in Park Ridge, police say

Rebecca L. Crabtree, 35, of Gurnee, went missing on June 16 from her home and was found on Wednesday, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said.

The 35-year-old Gurnee woman who went missing over two weeks ago has been located safe in Park Ridge Wednesday afternoon, police said.

On Monday, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said that Rebecca L. Crabtree had went missing. She was last seen by her family at her home in the 18000 block of West Stockton Court in unincorporated Gurnee on June 16.

Lake County Sheriff Spokesman Sgt. Christopher Covelli said that Crabtree left without her cellphone and without her other personal belongings.

This is her fourth time being reported missing. In the past, Crabtree had been previously located in Park Ridge, Woodstock and Lake Forest, Covelli said.

“Thank you to the over 1,000 members of the community who shared social media posts in an attempt to locate her,” the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said.

Police did not release the circumstances around any of her disappearances but only said that she had been found safe Wednesday afternoon.
