A woman has been charged after police say they seized over 1,900 counterfeit products being sold at a Buffalo Grove store, which included items that had brand names of Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel and Burberry.
Roksolana Pulley, 44, was charged with four felonies relating to the sale of counterfeit items. Three of the charges are Class 3 felonies and one of them is a Class 2 felony.
The Buffalo Grove Police Department said that Pulley is the owner of the Roksolana, Inc., 400 West Dundee Road in Buffalo Grove. An investigation was started after the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) contacted police in May.
DHS told Buffalo Grove police that the high-end fashion company, Louis Vuitton, received an anonymous tip that Pulley’s store was selling counterfeit items.
“Throughout the investigation, two undercover purchases were made at the store, and items were verified as counterfeit through agents employed by Louis Vuitton,” the Buffalo Grove Police Department said in a statement.
A search warrant was granted by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office on Wednesday. Buffalo Grove Police Department investigators seized more than 1,900 items valued at $38,000.
The counterfeit items included purses, shoes and clothing with brand names of Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel and Burberry.
Pulley appeared in Cook County bond court on Thursday and received a personal recognizance bond. She is scheduled to appear in court again on August 29.
