A 22-year-old Rockton man is facing numerous felony charges of sexually assaulting a child following a more than one year investigation, Marengo police said.
Nathan N. Rieken, 22, of the 300 block of Valley Forge Drive in Rockton, was charged with three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, three counts of criminal sexual assault and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a child.
The Marengo Police Department said they received information about allegations of a sexual assault that took place in 2016. Detectives conducted a thorough investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for Rieken on July 19, the department said.
Police did not release any further information about the assault but court records show the child was younger than 13 years old.
Rieken was taken into custody with the assistance of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Apprehension Unit and is being held in the McHenry County Jail.
Rieken was ordered to be held on a $500,000 bond and would have to post $50,000 to be released. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 16.
