A robbery was reported Friday evening in the parking lot of the Gas Cap Fuels in Grayslake and the suspects reportedly fled in a stolen vehicle.
The Grayslake Police Department responded around 7:15 p.m. to the parking lot of Gas Cap Fuels, 735 East Belvidere Road in Grayslake, for a report of a robbery.
A broadcast alert was sent over the Illinois State Police Emergency Radio Network (ISPERN) to area police departments about the robbery, in which a cellphone was taken.
The suspect is described as a tall male black in his early 20s wearing a dark-colored hoodie with dreadlocks.
He fled in a white 2015 Honda Civic LX sedan that had four or five other subjects in the car, according to the alert. The car had previously been stolen out of Waukegan.
The suspect vehicle was last seen driving westbound on Route 120 from Route 83. The Grayslake Police Department has not yet released any official information about the incident.
