Police are conducting death investigations after two people died at the same house days apart in Round Lake Park.

The Round Lake Park Police Department and the Lake County Coroner’s Office is investigating the deaths, which occurred at a residence in the 500 block of Arbor Drive in Round Lake Park.

On Friday around 9:50 p.m., officers responded to the house for a report of an unresponsive woman. The 44-year-old Chicago woman was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville where she was later pronounced dead.

On Sunday around 11 p.m., officers responded to the house for a report of an unresponsive man. The 44-year-old Round Lake Park man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Preliminary information indicates that both subjects knew each other and may have been in a relationship,” Round Lake Park Police Chief George Filenko said.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday morning on the Chicago woman. The cause of death has not been officially determined yet, Filenko said.

“Items found at the scene indicate narcotics may have played a role in both deaths,” Filenko said.

The identities of both victims are being withheld pending notification to their family members.
