An 18-year-old man, who family say is not in a good mental state, was reported missing Friday evening after he jumped out of a car and walked away in Nunda Township near Crystal Lake.

Aidan Beckford, 18, was last seen around 11:30 p.m. Friday in the area of Nish Road and Highview Road in Nunda Township, which is east of Crystal Lake and south of McHenry, the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office said.

He is described as being 5-foot-8, 160 pounds, blue eyes, with thick brown curly hair and wears glasses, which he was not wearing.

Beckford’s step mother told Lake and McHenry County Scanner that he was in a vehicle with a family member when jumped out at the above intersection and walked away. He did not have his cellphone with him and left it at home.
