A man suffered minor injuries after an 18-wheeler rolled over and caused all lanes of Route 12 near Molidor Road to be shutdown Friday afternoon, police said.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office and Fox Lake Fire Protection District responded around 3:20 p.m. Friday to Route 12 and Molidor Road for a rollover crash.

Lake County Sheriff Spokesman Sgt. Christopher Covelli said that the crash occurred just north of the intersection in the northbound lanes.

The driver of the truck was on Sullivan Lake Road turning left onto northbound Route 12 when he rolled the truck over, Covelli said. The trailer was hauling dirt, which spilled out onto the road.

The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene. He declined transport to the hospital, police said.

Southbound Route 12 from Brandenburg Road to Sullivan Lake Road and northbound Route 12 from Volo Village Road to Wilson Nursery Road is closed while crews work to cleanup the debris and remove the truck from the road.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said that the road will continue to be closed for a couple hours until around 7:30 p.m.
