Three men, who reside in Lake and McHenry counties, are facing solicitation charges following a human trafficking sting Thursday in Woodstock, prosecutors said.
Christopher Becchetti, of Crystal Lake, Kenneth Cramer, of Ingleside, and Jaskaran Singh, of Wonder Lake, were each charged with misdemeanor solicitation of a sex act after being taken into custody during the sting.
McHenry County State’s Attorney Patrick Kenneally said that an operation was planned, coordinated and executed Thursday afternoon in Woodstock by a McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office task force.
The task force, which consists of police officers from Algonquin, Cary, Crystal Lake, Huntley, Lake in the Hills, McHenry, Woodstock and Illinois State Police, was the first operation of its kind, Kenneally announced.
“Thank you to the police departments that participated in the Taskforce and stepped up to begin the process of addressing this expansive problem throughout the County,” Kenneally said. “This was the first operation of its kind. There will be more.”
All three men have been released from police custody after posting bail, court records show.
