An Island Lake man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for selling fentanyl-laced heroin to a confidential informant in McHenry in 2018, prosecutors said.
Richard Susinka, 38, of Island Lake, pleaded guilty to delivery of heroin, a Class 1 felony, the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office said.
McHenry County State’s Attorney Patrick Kenneally said that Susinka sold a confidential informant five doses of heroin that was laced with fentanyl on May 10, 2018 at Veteran’s Memorial Park, 3400 Pearl Street in McHenry.
McHenry County Judge Michael Coppedge sentenced Susinka to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after he pleaded guilty.
The case was investigated by members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Brian Miller of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
