The Major Crime Task Force is investigating after a man was found shot on a roadway in Park City and later died early Monday morning.
The Park City Police Department and Gurnee Fire Department responded around 11:59 p.m. Sunday to Teske Boulevard and Kehm Boulevard in Park City for a 911 call of a man down.
Police officers found a man that was unresponsive in the roadway after suffering a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported the man to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville where he was pronounced dead.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office has scheduled an autopsy on the man, whose identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
