Authorities are looking for the driver of this blue two-door vehicle following a public indecency incident in Zion on Tuesday | Surveillance Photo.

Police are warning the public in Zion after a man reportedly exposed himself to a 12-year-old juvenile walking home from school Tuesday afternoon.

The Zion Police Department said that the public indecency incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday near 24th Street and Horeb Avenue.

A 12-year-old was walking home from Zion Central Middle School when a man pulled up in a vehicle next to the juvenile and exposed himself, police say. The victim ran home and told a relative, who then reported the incident.

The offender’s vehicle is described as a blue two-door with rust on it. The suspect is described as a male white, 40-50 years old, with red/blonde hair and a red/blonde beard.

Officers were able to locate video from a nearby home security system that captured the vehicle just before the crime occurred.

“We continue to look for additional recordings that may have captured a better image of the vehicle,” officials said.

“We are working closely with Zion District 6 to provide increased security around all district schools. Zion District 6 is reviewing their security video to see if the offending vehicle is recorded near any of their schools,” the Zion Police Department said.
