A woman who tried to rob a Crystal Lake gas station at gunpoint Thursday evening ran away without taking anything after an alarm was activated, police said.

The suspect was last seen running north from the scene. No injuries were reported.
Witnesses described the suspect as a white female, 20-30 years of age, approximately 5-foot-5, weighing approximately 200 pounds, police said.
