Police are investigating after a man, who implied he was armed with a weapon, robbed a First Midwest Bank in Waukegan Thursday afternoon.
The Waukegan Police Department responded around 4:30 p.m. Thursday to the First Midwest Bank, 1201 Golf Road, for a call of a bank robbery.
Officers confirmed with bank employees that the bank had been robbed by a man who handed a teller a note, which demanded money. The suspect implied he was armed but no weapon was displayed.
The suspect is described as a male black in his 30s, approximately 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, dark complexion and a goatee. The man was seen wearing a light blue denim jacket, dark sweatshirt under the jacket and a Chicago Bulls hat.
The man fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was hurt during the robbery.
