Emma Roberts, 16, of unincorporated Antioch.

A 16-year-old Antioch girl who went missing last week was found safe by sheriff’s detectives Monday morning in Union Grove, Wisconsin, police said.

Emma Roberts, 16, of the 26100 block of West Spring Grove Road in unincorporated Antioch, went missing on Wednesday after dismissal time at her school in Salem, Wisconsin, where she attends Central High School District of Westosha, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives believe she was given a ride home from school where she packed a bag and left before her family arrived home.

Lake County Sheriff Spokesman Sgt. Christopher Covelli said that deputies and detectives continued to search for Emma over the weekend.

The Sheriff’s 911 Emergency Communications Center received several sighting tips from the public during the weekend which were investigated but none resulted in Emma being located, Covelli said.

Sheriff’s detectives developed information Emma was possibly at a home in the 1400 block of 11th Avenue in Union Grove, Wisconsin.

Detectives interviewed several friends and acquaintances and located Emma at the residence. She was safe and uninjured, Covelli said, adding that Emma is being reunited with her family at their home.

“The Lake County Sheriff’s Office thanks the thousands of people from across the country who shared Emma’s information or called with possible sighting information in an attempt to locate her,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
