Police are asking for the public’s help in locating an 89-year-old Crystal Lake man who went missing on Thanksgiving after he did not show up to his family’s home in Woodstock.
Frank Hyden, 89, was reported missing late Thursday evening by family, who told police that they last spoke to him around 5:30 p.m. that day while he was at his home in Crystal Lake.
Police do not suspect foul play, instead they believe that Hyden became lost on his way to his family’s home in Woodstock. Hyden is 5-foot-11, weighs approximately 200 pounds, has grey hair with balding on top, and a grey beard and mustache.
He was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap and a dark colored hooded sweatshirt. He drives a silver 2015 Chevrolet Spark with Illinois license plate AD 36469.
The Crystal Lake Police Department has issued a Silver Alert through the Illinois State Police.
“We encourage anyone who may have information relating to Mr. Hydenโs whereabouts to contact the Crystal Lake Police Department at 815-356-3620 or call 911,” Crystal Lake Deputy Police Chief Derek Hyrkas said.
