A 29-year-old was flown by a Flight For Life medical helicopter after he was stabbed at a home in unincorporated Crystal Lake Thursday morning.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded around 6:22 a.m. Thursday to the 6000 block of Acorn Court in unincorporated Crystal Lake to assist the fire department on a medical call.

Deputies discovered a 29-year-old Crystal Lake man with knife wounds, according to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was transported by ambulance to Northwestern Medicine Hospital in McHenry where he was flown by helicopter to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. His condition was not released.

The investigation is ongoing by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and sheriff’s officials refused to comment if there has been any arrests made.

Officials added there is “no known threat to the public” but asked anyone with information about the incident to call the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office at 815-334-4750.
