Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 75-year-old man with advanced dementia who went missing from his Waukegan home Friday morning.
Thomas Brandenburg, 75, was last seen around 9 a.m. Friday at his home in the 2000 block of Cooke Court in Waukegan.
Family members of Brandenburg went to the Waukegan Police Department around 5:40 p.m. Friday to report him missing, according to police officials.
Brandenburg is described as a male white, 5-foot-10, and 150 pounds. He has gray hair and hazel eyes. The man was last seen wearing a navy blue jacket, blue pants, blue beanie cap, beige boots, and wears glasses.
Thomas’ family says he has advanced dementia and possibly left his home on foot. The family believes that he could be in the greater Lake County area, possibly watching vehicle traffic from street corners, police officials said.
Anyone who has seen Brandenburg or believes they saw someone fitting his description is asked to call 911 or the Waukegan Police Department directly at 847-599-2608.
