The Lake County Coroner’s Office has identified a 28-year-old Minnesota woman killed after her SUV collided into a semi-trailer truck and rolled over multiple times on Interstate 94 in Libertyville early Friday morning.

Kiara Hill, 28, of St. Paul, Minnesota, died of multiple blunt force injuries due to a vehicle crash, Lake County Coroner Dr. Howard Cooper said Saturday morning. Toxicology results are pending.

The Illinois State Police, Libertyville Fire Department and Lake Forest Fire Department responded around 2:13 a.m. Friday to Interstate 94 near mile marker 16 in Libertyville for a vehicle crash with injuries.

Hill was driving a gray BMW SUV westbound on Interstate 94 when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a semi-trailer truck.

The impact caused the BMW to roll over several times and Hill, who was not wearing her seatbelt, was ejected from the car, Illinois State Police said. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Lake County Coroner Dr. Howard Cooper.

Paramedics transported a male passenger from the SUV to a local hospital with minor injuries. Two other men in the SUV refused treatment.
