A woman was charged after she allegedly pushed and punched police officers while holding her infant child in Libertyville, police said.

Jenna M. Ivers, 25, of the 300 block of West Winchester Road in Libertyville, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer, endangering the life of a child, resisting a peace officer and obstructing a peace officer.

The Libertyville Police Department responded around 10:24 p.m. February 19 to the 300 block of West Winchester Road for a report of a domestic dispute.

Officers made contact with two women, who appeared intoxicated, at the apartment building.

One of the women, identified as Ivers, pushed and punched officers at the scene while she was holding her infant child, according to Libertyville Police Department Sgt. Jason Kapusinski.

None of the officers involved suffered injuries during the incident, Kapusinski told Lake and McHenry County Scanner.

Ivers was arrested and transported to the Libertyville Police Department where she was processed, charged and transported to the Lake County Jail in Waukegan.

Ivers remains held in the Lake County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on March 12 for a hearing.
