The 45-year-old Deerfield man who was reported missing was located Wednesday morning at a hospital in Chicago, police said.
Teodoro “Ted” R. Ordonez, 45, of the 1000 block of Waukegan Road in Deerfield, was last seen leaving his residence, where he lives with his mother, around 12 p.m. Sunday.
His family came to the Deerfield Police Department around 9 p.m. Monday to report him missing, according to Deerfield Deputy Police Chief Brian Budny.
Ordonez got on an inbound Metra Milwaukee District North train at the Deerfield Road station at 1:26 p.m. Sunday, Budny said. The man was heading to Chicago to meet with friends on the north side of the city.
“A series of messages and texts were exchanged indicating the missing person was lost within the vicinity of the intended meeting place,” Budny said.
The last message was sent at approximately 8 p.m. Sunday and no other contact had been made with Ordonez, who has mental and physical disabilities due to a brain injury.
Budny said Wednesday afternoon that Ordonez had been located around 11 a.m. Wednesday at a hospital in Chicago. Ordonez’s condition was not released.
“For privacy reasons we will not be issuing any further information,” Budny said.
