Angel Corrales-Lopez, 28, is wanted by police for sex crimes.

Authorities have been searching for a fugitive on the run since last year after North Chicago police charged him with raping a child and possessing child pornography.

Angel Corrales-Lopez, 28, formerly of North Chicago, was charged with three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a victim under 13 and two counts of possession of child pornography.

The North Chicago Police Department conducted an investigation and learned that Corrales-Lopez allegedly conducted acts of sexual penetration on a child under the age of 13, according to an arrest warrant.

The warrant also alleges Corrales-Lopez photographed or otherwise depicted the unclothed genitals of a child under the age of 18 in a lewd exhibition. The man is also wanted for driving under the influence of alcohol and traffic related charges.

An arrest warrant carrying a $2 million bond was issued on September 25. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team believes Corrales-Lopez is actively attempting to avoid apprehension.

“He previously lived in North Chicago, however it is very possible he’s traveling between the Round Lake and Waukegan areas,” Lake County Sheriff Spokesman Sgt. Christopher Covelli told Lake and McHenry County Scanner.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office posted a wanted flyer on their social media Wednesday. They said Corrales-Lopez is 5-foot-5, 220 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
