A person was extricated from their vehicle and hospitalized following a rollover crash near Hebron Wednesday morning, officials said.

The Hebron-Alden-Greenwood Fire Protection District and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded around 5:58 a.m. Wednesday to O’Brien Road and Fink Road in Alden Township for a vehicle crash with entrapment.

Hebron-Alden-Greenwood Fire Chief Thomas Linneman said that crews found a heavily damaged vehicle rolled over approximately 150 feet into a field.

Firefighters extricated one person, who was stable at the time, from the vehicle and paramedics transported them to Mercy Javon Bea Hospital-Riverside, Linneman said.

Fire crews cleared the scene just after 7 a.m. Firefighters from Harvard and Woodstock assisted at the scene.

Linneman said that one of Mercyhealth’s emergency field vehicles — called MD-1 — also assisted at the scene.

MD-1 vehicles are staffed by residency trained emergency medicine physicians and they can help paramedics stabilize a patient before they are transported to the hospital from a scene.
