Jamal J. Nash, 22, of Newport Township.

Police have located a 22-year-old man who left his home in Newport Township without his wallet or cellphone.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said they were seeking the community’s assistance in locating Jamal J. Nash, 22, who was last seen leaving his residence at approximately 2 p.m. Friday.

Nash was driving a black Ford Edge with Illinois registration BU 61128. Nash’s family told the sheriff’s office that he had been acting increasingly distant recently and they are concerned about his mental health.

Nash left the home without a cell phone and without money or credit cards, according to Lake County Sheriff Spokesman Sgt. Christopher Covelli. It is unknown where he would be driving to.

Nash is described as being 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a jacket with fur on the hood, a red sweater, black jogging pants and blue gym shoes, Covelli said.
