Officers located a victim that had been shot and was lying in the street. The victim was identified as a 15-year-old Waukegan boy, according to Waukegan Police Department Cmdr. Joe Florip.

The teen was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he is in serious but stable condition. Detectives found multiple shell casings but the exact number and caliber is being withheld, Florip said.
