A Wonder Lake man who pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a teen girl in Woodstock has been sentenced to 90 days in jail and probation.
Luke E. Brennan, 57, of the 7700 block of Beaver Road in Wonder Lake, was indicted on charges of criminal sexual assault, aggravated sexual abuse, sexual exploitation of a child and two counts of indecent solicitation of a child.
Brennan pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual abuse on May 14 during a negotiated plea deal. In exchange, his four other charges were dropped.
A bill of indictment alleges that Brennan held a position of supervision over a girl between the age of 13 and 16 years old.
The indictment says that Brennan sexually penetrated the girl with his finger and masturbated in front of her on September 11, 2017.
Brennan, who will be required to register as a sex offender, was sentenced to 90 days in the McHenry County Jail and will be required to pay $5,694 in court costs and fines.
He will also be required to undergo sex offender counseling and will be on probation for two years, court records show. If Brennan violates court mandated supervision, he will be sentenced to an additional 90 days in jail.
