Two people were stabbed and one of them was hospitalized after a disturbance Saturday morning in Crystal Lake.
Theย Crystal Lake Police Department responded around 6:27 a.m. Saturday to the 1300 block of Parkridge Court for a report of a disturbance.
Officers learned that several subjects had left the scene and two adult males were found with stab wounds in the 1500 block of Carlemont Drive, according to Crystal Lake Deputy Police Chief Thomas Kotlowski.
A 31-year-old Crystal Lake man sustained stab wounds to the abdomen, back and leg. The second victim, a 24-year-old Lake in the Hills man, had minor lacerations to his face and hands.
The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department responded to provide medical care to the victims. However, both victims refused treatment and were released from care at the scene, Kotlowski said.
One victim later self-transported to an area hospital where he currently remains for treatment. The offender or offenders involved fled the scene prior to police arriving.
Both victims and witnesses who were involved in the incident are being uncooperative with police, Kotlowski said, adding that this was an isolated incident. The victims and suspect(s) know each other.
“There is no danger to the public. We are in the early stages of this investigation. At this time, we have no further information to provide. As more information becomes available we will provide an update,” Kotlowski said.
